Accessibility Information
MOBILITY: Newtown Train Station is accessible with MLAK toilets, and is less than 100m away. It is possible to access the location without using stairs from King Street, Bedford Street and Australia Street. We are outside Newtown Neighbourhood Centre which has lifts and an accessible toilet.
AUSLAN: Auslan interpreters will be available during the main event.
OTHER: A sensory retreat and rest area will be available indoors. Some seating will be available. Volunteers will be able to assist with things like directions and ensuring paths are accessible. If you have any other access needs, please contact us (we are on Facebook Messenger) and we will try to assist you.
Location: The Location is Newtown Neighbourhood Centre Forecourt 1 Bedford Street Newtown. The centre has an accessible toilet. It is 10om from Newtown train station, and two bus stops with buses going to the city and various parts of the inner west. There are no steps between the nearest drop off point for cars and taxis and the location. Paid parking is available down the street at Dendy cinemas
